Thankful: November is a good month to stop and assess our lives and give thanks to those individuals that may not hear it often. My thankfulness as it relates to APWA starts with all of our volunteers in the Arizona Chapter. Behind good leaders like our committee chairs, there are always teams of individuals that work behind the scenes to keep APWA strong and running smoothly. Committees like conference, programs, events, newsletter, education, YP, Diversity, and so many more. If you are one of our APWA’s volunteers, know that you are truly appreciated, and we could not do this without you!!! Thank you for your time, commitment, energy, and vision! APWA Arizona is a strong and vibrant chapter and it is because of you! I hope you all have a healthy and safe Thanksgiving! Sincerely,
Sandy Niebel APWA AZ CHAPTER PRESIDENT

Fall Mixer Thank you to everyone who attended our Fall Mixer. The event was held on Thursday, October 13 at The Porch in Phoenix. It was a fun evening to network and catch up with each other on the patio and we appreciate all who participated.

Kaeli's Sustainability Tip of the Month:

Volunteer Night at the St. Vincent De Paul DREAM Center and Dining Room
It took a little rocket science, but volunteers with APWA had a great night volunteering at the St. Vincent De Paul DREAM Center and Dining Room on Wednesday, October 26. Some volunteers helped kids with homework, participating in crafts and others helped them build NASA-inspired “STOMP” rockets, which is becoming an annual tradition for APWA to bring with them each fall. Other volunteers helped to serve dinner to the families that depend on the center for food, shelter and other supplies.
